This is really cool - thanks! Also - the Temperature Expansion Upgrade Kit is only compatible with the 20mL Pioreactor, right? Again, we’ll have a native 40ml solution later this year (maybe soon!) ---

Hi @KarstenSkogs, Good point: no announcement was made. We quietly discontinued the Temp Expansion Kit (we have some in the office still if really needed). The stacking HATs idea, while fun and cute, wasn’t a cost-effective solution. It also changed the geometry of the Pioreactor too much (i.e. needed longer cables, made upgrades harder, etc). For the v1.5, we actually have another solution we’ve been planning that skips the in-situ probe. More details in the new year! ---

Thanks for the quick response! I’ve been planning a new array, and some of the feedback I’ve gotten for our existing unit is that the temperature response times are too long, especially since it is sometimes preferred to add 1-5mL of cold reagents at a specific time, and the data soon after the addition is of the most interest. I have been thinking of a system for preheating the air supply to the array, which may help the temperature deviations, but with this information, I’ll probably wait to see what’s in the pipeline. ---

Hi @KarstenSkogs, In our experiments, we have been diluting 2-12 mL cold reagent. However, we never experienced long response time, in fact it was immediate in most of our experiments. One question I had in mind is whether you tried to modify the **config.ini Kp parameters** at the `[temperature_automation.thermostat]` and if you did, how was your experience? In our case, modulation of the Kp parameters was a successful solution to modulate the response time.
