I’m looking to integrate air pumps into my setup to get better oxygen transfer and was curious what has/hasn’t worked well for others. Obviously there are many similar pumps out there meeting the same requirements needed to be compatible, but I thought I’d first try something others have used to decrease the amount of troubleshooting needed.
I’ve seen some older posts where people have suggested this pump by Adafruit, but it’s only rated for 30,000 cycles. At 15 seconds per cycle and stopping for ~30 seconds for each measurement, these would only last a few hundred hours theoretically. Of course, running at a low DC% would preserve its operability for longer.
Have you all not run your air pumps continuously or just eaten the cost of replacement every so often? How have these pumps performed in your experience? Would love to hear how others have gotten on : )
