Are there any community solutions for measuring dissolved oxygen inside the pioreactor? Or is DO on the dev plan? I’ve searched the forums and not found anything
I think in general it’s pretty trivial to get probes working from a software perspective, as it’s basically just an input signal and a calibration curve as long as you can wire it up. The difficult thing is with the physical setup and the size. The gold-standard for industrial and autoclavable probes are mettler toledo and hamilton but those probes are far too large.
I was hearing this morning about dots that can be used for DO and pH readings, perhaps these might solve a lot of the problems the community has been having with the size of pH/DO probes?OXSP5-ADH-STER - PyroScience - PyroScience GmbH
We are trying to get our hands on PyroScience gear to test as well, as it looks very compatible with our system. TBD!
I have connected a PyroScience DO detector to my pioreactor setup, and can confirm it works!
Which one are you using and is it autoclavable?
According to the website, for the [OXPS5 sensor spot], it says that they are autoclavable “a few times, short cycle”. Not really sure what this means, but based on the downloadable price list, they are pretty expensive; the sensors (8 sensor spots is 300 euros) and the optical fibre cables [SPFIB-BARE] are 70 euros per cable. Hi! did you use the wired sensor or the glued micro-pads. In the latter case, I assume you have to bring the vial out of the adapter (a picture would be great!) Thanks in advance.
