Pumping dovetail platform with a "fixed" pioreactor on top

Thanks for all the amazing open designs that are available for the system.
We are still experimenting with the setup and while doing so we encountered a “small” hiccup.

The pi 4b model in combination with the Pumping dovetail platform provides no means to actually screw / click / hold the pi and reactor in place onto the dovetail platform (correct?).

The reason why this is an “issue” is that we have everything through network cables as wifi requires 2FA and other technical difficulties. The cables are quite sturdy and we are working on a clamp like method to make sure the pioreactor is not going to fly off its rocker as it happened a few times already.

We are thinking of sticking the dovetail platform to a bigger base below so the dovetail platform is nicely fixed and we can set it all up properly. For the pi we are still thinking on how to fix it onto the platform.

Do you happen to have any suggestions for this?

For example, if the ethernet is pulled, or if the dovetail is moved but the ethernet is stuck, the Pioreactor would slip off the platform?

There are two older models for the platform here: Pioreactor platform with dovetails for B models by Pioreactor | Download free STL model | Printables.com

The first one doesn’t have an ethernet cutout, so it can’t be used. The second one has an ethernet/usb cut out, but the “stands” kept snapping off so we simplified the design to remove the stands.

There isn’t a design that securely attaches the Pioreactor to the platform. We’ll consider it for a future version though!

No it’s actually different. The ethernet cable is a sturdy one so when plugged in it might actually pull the entire pi + reactor up into the air above the platform. If we could attach the pi/reactor tot the platform we could think of a way to stick the platform to a setup below it.

but as it is now we have a flying reactor due to these cables.
