Hey everyone,
i tried to blank the OD of three pioreactors and followed the recommended protocol. The UI responds to the initial button press to start blanking, turns into the “loading circle” but returns to the initial state after some time. No OD is displayed at “Recorded optical densities of blank vial:”. The OD readings are all over the place and not consistently blanked.
Is this a hardware defect, or a software problem?

I have the same issue come up every time I blank the OD’s. Normally waiting a few mins and refreshing the UI works for me. Also clicking off of the calibration menu, and back on it again sometimes updates it to display the value.

Probably a software bug! We’ll investigate and fix for the next release.
The OD readings are all over the place and not consistently blanked.
So the OD readings will likely start in different places, even performing the blanking procedure. The blanking just removes any optical effects caused by the media. Each Pioreactor will be slightly different, which causes ODs to be different, hence why we suggest comparing normalized ODs for inference.
